There are 2 reasons to get breakfast at Mike's City Diner (located on the corner of Washington and W. Springfield St., the South End, 617-267-9393).The first reason is because they probably have the BEST omelets in all of Boston. Seriously, if you love cheesy eggs, please come here. Every single time I get the eggs here they are fantastic. They are fluffy, hot, stuffed with cheese, and amazing. And just when you think it can't get any better, the portions are so big that you won't be able to finish it.

The second reason to is that Bill Clinton ate here. Yep, the greatest president in the history of our time also enjoyed delicious pancakes, French toast, or an omelet at Mike's City Diner. You can too.
I'm not sure what Bill got when he came here, but Travis got the Emergency Room (2 pancakes, 2 eggs, bacon, home fries, wheat toast) and I got the American Cheese omelet with wheat toast and home fries. We both think the home fries are a little soggy. Don't come here for the home fries.
The bill was about $19.00.
One thing that's annoying is that you have to wait in line before you can sit down to eat. There's literally a line out the door at all times of the day. One thing that's not annoying is that they have an extremely diner-esque interior.
This was our third or fourth time eating here, and we feel closer and closer to Bill Clinton every time we step foot inside.
Pros: best omelet in Boston, great service, food cooked to order, bike accessible, Bill ate here
Cons: waiting in line, limited street parking, not very T accessible, a little bit pricier than Busy Bee Restaurant
Overall rating (scale of 1-5): 4.5

Your blog makes me want to move to Boston! However, I don't think we are too far removed from FDR, making him still the greatest president of our time (in my oppinion)
